Church History Road Trip- Part 3

Still on Monday. More fun learning about flax and wool.

Barrel making. The apprenticeship to become a cooper lasted 6-8 years. That's like medical school! Both Joseph Smith Sr. and Hyrum were coopers (barrel makers).

What a cutie.

Mom made us do a lot of posing in the visitor's center.

Later in the afternoon, we went to Carthage. We forgot Gloria and wasted a lot of time trying to find the right road. =( But we made it just in time for the last tour of the day.

This is the dungeon cell where Willard Richards dragged the injured John Taylor to hide him from the mob. It's very dark and lonely.

That's the window. Carthage was one of our favorite stops. It's hard to put into words.
