Welcome small felines!

Chickens are wonderful creatures; they are quiet, friendly, and give us the best omelets this side of the Mississippi. But they also attract all kinds of annoying things like dogs (who want to eat them), birds and stray roosters (who want their company), and mice (who want their food). We can deal with the dogs and birds by keeping the chickens cozy in a nice enclosed coop, but the mice are a much bigger problem. Especially after the unfortunate demise of our much beloved pet, Lucky. :'( And so, we warmly welcome two new residents to the farm. Morgan is holding Teddy Roosevelt, and Seth is holding Pouncer. (Seth is wearing a red shirt.) They are soooo adorable! Teddy is calm and cuddly; Pouncer is a little more feisty. We all love them both. Hannah especially, has spent every spare minute outside with them. I should also note that she named Teddy Roosevelt and Seth named Pouncer.

How fun! Don't you dare tell James, but we are trying cats next time.

Cute kitties! They remind me of a kitten I had when I was probably about your age. Her name was Marigold.
